Spring - Winter -Spring

To visit other Daybook entries, click on the picture above.

FOR TODAY - Monday 15th March
Outside my window... two van loads of builders and roofers, fixing our roof but at starting at 7.30am :o
I am thinking...that I need to make more effort to get some exercise, I feel stiff and unfit.
I am thankful for...the longer, lighter nights
From the kitchen...Spinach & ricotta canneloni
I am yoga pants because I have just done some yoga (see thoughts above!)
I am creating...a basket to decorate my home for Easter.
I am Ayr tomorrow for a meeting.
I am reading... Key Lime Pie Murder by Joanne Fluke (am I obsessed by food? lol!)
I am hoping...that everything goes well with the office move on Thursday and Friday
I am hearing...DH emptying the dishwasher
Around the house...Lots of disruption, things in boxes waiting for the joiner to arrive and refurbish the kitchen.
One of my favorite things...cookery programmes on tv - I'm watching Raymond Blanc eating watercress! Yes, I am obsessed by food and cooking.
A few plans for the rest of the week... lots of travelling this week, the big move at the end of the week, my mum's birthday on Thursday.

Here is picture thought I am sharing:

I love tulips. I bought this bunch for my MIL for Mothers Day, the glorious colours of tulips seem to tell of the warmth of Spring more than daffodils which come out when it is still cold.

...and now a little WINTER, a snowman card for the March challenge in the Bubbly Funk, 25th Club, where we make Christmas cards all year!

The stamped image came from a swap, I coloured with copics, I think the paper was from an RAK from Kathy Black (a long, long time ago!) and three little green brads.

...and back to Spring again.

  1. Love the card and the cheerful snowballs.

    The tulips are fab.

Hope the roofers and joiners are soon finished pulling your house apart and when they are done you have a wonderful new refurbished home. x x

  2. What gorgeous tulips!

Loving your snowman card Janice XXX

  3. Love the tulips, so miss them since moving to Fl. Loved when the crocus and the daffodils then the tulips would peek up through the snow. Sign of spring around the corner

  4. Key lime pie as a murder weapon, huh? :haha: Lovely tulips and your frosty snowman looks like he has a warm heart so I guess we can allow it!

  5. I enjoyed your daybook. The tulips are beautiful and your Christmas card is so cute.

I want to come back and visit your cooking blog when I have more time.

    Have a wonderful day.

  6. Doing some blog hopping atm (catching up) - glad I got here - such beautiful roses below and love these tulips - they are some of my favourites. The snowman card is cool! And I've enjoyed reading all your answers and thoughts x

  7. Lovely tulips. I miss tulips. Gave up trying to grow them because the gophers dragged them all away. Now they end up in someone else's orchard.

Always such a nice blog to visit. You've now been officially tagged with the Sunshine Award. You need not do anything. It was given to me and I in turn pass it along to a blog I want people to notice, yours.

And...a friend just got a job illustrating a Ladybird book!

  8. I need to get fit too :) Love your tulips!

  9. Thank you for sharing your daybook. Love the photo! Great blog. Keep it up!

Stop by and say hi sometime... Tam at
