I'm sharing a photo of me this week for Friday Photo Flashback. I changed my Facebook avatar to this picture a couple of days ago and had a lot of very positive comments, so thought I'd share it here too.My dad was an amateur photographer in the days before digital, he build himself a darkroom inside the outhouse at the back of our house and did all his own developing. Anyway, we were often required to act as photographers models so got quite used to posing.
I think this would have been taken in 1978 just before I returned for my third year at university, so I would have been 19. It is so hard to believe it is over 30 years ago :o

ReplyDeleteNice to see the current smile has a strong historic precedent! Great shot, your dad obviously had a talent behind the lens and in the darkroom (and a willing subject probably helped!)

ReplyDeleteThanks to everyone for the lovely comments. To me it doesn't seem very long ago, but my children are now older than I was when that picture was taken. I really don't feel any different and I still smile a lot!
