Ruby Slippers and Sister Act!

If the Shoe Fits...
buy it in every colour, as the saying goes!

We all wear them, don't we? so this week I would like to lots of footwear on your cards.
Boots, shoes, sandals, trainers, ballet shoes, slippers.... the list is almost endless so I'm sure there'll be some fab fancy footwork to admire this week.
One thing, though - no cheating, please - We don't want any sneaky stuff like "My Tilda's wearing shoes so I'm entering this card" - oh no, we're far too mean to allow!

(and Sue says she'll be checking up on you :-0)
That's the Dare at the Daring Cardmaker's Blog this week and
here is my card:
I'm also using the Whispers of Colour prompt on Bubbly Scrumptious for this card, it's Red, white and blue!
It's my sister's birthday soon and I've always loved the song 'Sisters' in the film 'White Christmas'.  My sister and I used to sing it to each other, so following the theme of musicals that started with Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend.  I've made this card showing Rosemary Cluny and Vera Ellen with lots of bling and feathers!
I used the Fiskarettes sketch again and this is the card that I am entering into the competition.

  1. Love that blue on the card for your sister Janice. Which one is you?

Ruby slippers are fab and an idea I had for my DCM.

  2. Great cards, love the ruby slippers and your sisters card looks fab with the feathers and bling!

  3. Your card themes worked out so well! Glittery red shoes and sisters in feathery blue.

  4. Great shoes - there's nothing quite as lifting to the spirit as a pair of red shoes!
The other card is such fun - I bet your sis will love it

  5. Janice I have an award for "creativity genius" on my blog for you. x

  6. These are brilliant cards Janice - great idea to use the ruby shoes for our theme and I've got to admit that the 'sisters' song in White Christmas is one of my favourite bits too!

    Love Lynda xxx

  7. Fab cards Janice - and thanks for using Whispers of Colour #7 for inspiration!...x

  8. Two gorgeous cards, Janice - love those shoes x

  9. Oooo Janice, those Ruby Slippers are fab!
I was just trying to work out how the did the red band across the card. Is that card candy with little beads stuck to the inside?
It looks great whatever it is!

Thanks for ‘stepping up’ and joining the Daring Cardmakers this week.

  10. Sue - they are genuine sequins and I stuck on all the little bead myself lol!
