Books - 365+1

Sit Back and Relax - Digital Crea
I always have a pile of books beside the computer.  It seems that no matter how often I tidy them away another pile appears within days.  They are mostly cookery books that I am consulting for inspiration but the pile also features my notebooks, some letters and stuff I've printed off to look at later.

I've got a couple of days off next week so hope to bring a little order to my living room, including putting away some of the books!

Sunflower - 365+1

Lovely Poppies - A Digital Crea Collab
It's a free choice day today, so no prompt.  The weather has not been kind to us today, but a couple of days ago it was sunny and I am glad now that I took some photographs of my MIL's sunflower.  It was at it's peak and the bees obviously thought so too.

Instant Garden - 365+1

Thalaris - The power of flowers for Digital Crea
Today's prompt was 'Cleanliness' - that really didn't inspire me on such a lovely outdoor sort of day.  I headed off to the garden centre this morning to get some bedding plants for my tubs and troughs.  When I opened the boot of my car 'Instant Garden' popped into my head and I knew I had my 365 photograph.

Faceless Portrait - 365+1

Sit Back and Relax - a Digital Crea Collaboration
Today's prompt: It could be a self portrait or a portrait of someone else ... but snap things that make them 'them' ... those things you see that make you go "OH! That is so {insert name here}!"

This portrait is of my husband and his slippers, which somehow never seem to be on his feet!  He is always wondering where they are and, inevitably, they are under a table somewhere.

Bumpy - 365+1

Kate Hadfield - Deck the Halls, Digital Crea Collab - Sit Back and Relax
As soon as I saw the prompt 'Bumpy' for Suzie's 365+1 challenge I knew I had to include my Dad in my layout.  Bumpy was the name my son called his Grandpa when he first started to speak, it stuck and he was Bumpy right up until both boys became too self-conscious in their mid-teens and started to call both my parents by their own names.  My Dad is no longer with us but that single word brings him back to me.

Clutter - 365+1

Maya de Groot - Hoity Toity, Green Door, Arty Farty; Digital Crea - Paint my Garden
I have this notice board which used to hang above my craft desk until we remodelled the living room.  I hung it on the wall in the bedroom and have never moved it.  There is so much 'clutter' on it that I haven't been able to face it!

Gentle - 365+1

Digital Crea Collab - Sit Back and Relax
It's amazing just how gentle Muffin, the chocolate labrador, is with my grandson, she is so protective of him and while she jumps all over everyone else, she understands that with him, she must be gentle.

Daybreak (not) 365+1

Digital Crea Collab -Lovely Poppies, Coppercurls Designs - Photo Mask
I missed the prompt for today, it was 'Daybreak' but it was long past daybreak when I saw it, even though Suzie had posted it last night.  So instead you are getting a photograph I took yesterday of a camelia in the grounds at my work.

Relax, Rest, Sleep. That's what it says on my M & S Nightie!  Another catch-up for 365+1.

Garden - 365+1

Butterflies & Bluebells - Art Blends, Petitsouris - Le Bal de sorcieres
Not quite 'the garden', more 'the field' but the principle is the same. The tree came down before Christmas and as the trunk and thicker branches were cut up the smaller branches were piled up in the field.  It's been so wet this spring that we have had not opporutnity to burn them until this weekend.

Spring Flowers - 365+1

Kalina - Esprit Poudre, Coppercurls - Photomask 204
I've gone off topic today, just couldn't come up with anything for the prompt 'arranged' so rather than not post, I've used a photo I took last week of the primroses.

Misty - 365+1

Suzie gave us a choice of prompts today as she though there would be nowhere misty today - wrong!  When I got home the mist was coming down over the hills and woods.

Clouds - 365+1

Noshay - A Witch in Love
A bit of messing with this photo taken tonight turned it into a stormy sky and brough in some atmospheric black crows - hee hee!

365+1 - Nature, red in tooth and claw!

Gingerscraps - Scrap Your Life and various from Digital Crea
Look away if you are fond of bunny rabbits!  Suzie has given us a free choice for today's prompt so I thought I'd share this photo I took last Saturday, we got a bit of video footage of it as well which you can see on YouTube here.  In the end the post van arrived and the poor little stoat ran off and never came back.  It was fascinating to see this shy creature so close up!

Fragile

I am rather pleased with this digital scrapbook page.  It was completed as part of a photoshoot challenge at Digital Design Den, the theme was 'Fragile'.  These little wild flowers are not really that fragile, they wouldn't survive in the fields if they were, but they do look very fragile and pretty.

In case you are interested, there are a couple of great giveaways going on in the blogosphere, one here at Purple Lotus Art and another one at Maggie's Nest. Both involve copies of publications by Somerset Studios, really great inspiration.
