The Soartful challenge this week is 'I am woman'. I immediately thought of the Helen Reddy song and wanted to include the 'roar' from the lyrics:
I am woman, hear me roar
In numbers too big to ignore
And I know too much to go back an' pretend
'cause I've heard it all before
And I've been down there on the floor
No one's ever gonna keep me down again
In numbers too big to ignore
And I know too much to go back an' pretend
'cause I've heard it all before
And I've been down there on the floor
No one's ever gonna keep me down again
The woman image was one provided by Jeanette for the challenge and is a drawing by Leonardo da Vinci.
It is very beautiful, but not much roar going on there, maybe a silent roar!
Oh my. The song did run thru my mind but I never even to thought of this.
ReplyDeleteIt is fun, clever and very beautiful. I love how you worked the image into the piece.
Thanks for being Soartful this week.
Gorgeous Janice. Love your thinking! Hope Sunday is a bit warmer & drier for you.xx
ReplyDeleteBrilliant! Love how you have captured the roar and how you have used the da Vinci woman in the background, gorgeous amalgamation - cheers!
ReplyDeleteHi Janice - just having a look at your blog - we have a copy of that Da Vinci picture of a woman on one of our walls at home - what a coincidence! I'm going to enjoy looking at your blog - please come back to mine again soon - just for nostalgia's sake?!

Very clever Janice and I love how you have combined the images....x
ReplyDeleteJanice, I absolutely love it! I always think of that song when I hear the phrase: I am woman. You have it perfectly with the roaring lion in the foreground. Just wonderful.
