Patchwork quilt and a cat!

Over at Inspiration Lane there was a challenge to choose something from the 'Pottery Barn' and base a layout on the item.  I chose this beautiful heritage log-cabin quilt and below is my layout, which includes a photo of us with our friends from California when they visited us in Scotland.

I've used this photo of Jenny the cat before, but no apologies for that, taken a few months before she died, it was the last time she really looked well enough for photographs.  The kit is Alter Me by Joyful Heart Designs, the stitching I've also used before and comes from 'Neutrality' from DSD by Athena.  This layout is for a numbers challenge at Inspiration Lane, where a certain number of papers, elements, photos etc are specified.

  1. Aaww what a lovely LO of Jenny. She looks like she's telling you to stop pointing the camera at her! xxx

  2. Brilliant digis, Janice - always love seeing what you've done. The colours on that first one are so rich and look o good together. Awww to the gorgeous LO of Jenny x

  3. I love you've been inspired by the ad for that first LO! And the LO of Jenny is gorgeous - love the stitched frame!

  4. Firstly, what a beautifully worked quilt!!! You have really used this & your Layout is really lovely!

Awe, its lovely to see a pic of Jenny again Janice XXX

  5. Two fab digs Janice, love the rich colours from the inspiration and the stitched frame is perfect with the photo of Jenny, love it!

  6. You can certainly see where the quilt colours have come in on your layout Janice. Beautiful.

The layout of Jenny is a fabulous one too. Now all you need is to do one for Dicky Bert! haha
