Yes, you are right! I have gone digi-scrapping crazy, probably because I CAN get to the computer but I CAN'T get near my craft desk. We are still in the process of decorating our den and all the furniture is piled up at the craft desk end of the room.
Back to the photograph and layout...there are some photos that draw you to scrap them again and again, and this is one of them. I have always been fascinated by my parent's wedding photo and the multicoloured dresses of the bridesmaids and flowergirls, it is unusual now and probably even more unusual in the 1950s. Oh what a fabulous LO Janice, it is perfectly matched to the photo. I hope you find your craft desk again soon LOL x
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that the bridesmaids are all in different colours...they look soooo pretty don't they. No wonder you keep scrapping this photo as its a wonderful one Janice! XXX
ReplyDeleteSuper digi LO, Janice - and I love the unusual different colours of the bridesmaid dresses - I bet it was so lovely in reality x
ReplyDeleteLove this, Janice! I clicked to enlarge to see the beautiful dresses ~ so lovely! Your creations preserve the most special life occasions!
ReplyDeleteLove this layout Janice, the colours are gorgeous, beautiful and soft.

Just beautiful. I have photos from my grandparents wedding just like this too. Were the dresses actually coloured or is it a post photo treatment production they did back then? I am trying to figure this one out myself.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments.
ReplyDeleteSharyn - Most of my parent's wedding photos were in b&w but someone also took some pictures on transparencies which were in colour, so not altered at all. It was only about 10 years ago that Mum & Dad got these pictures made from the transparencies. However, Mum had kept pieces of the fabric from the dresses in the back of her wedding album so I always knew what colour the dresses had been.
That is so interesting and so very beautiful. No wonder you love this photo. I love the water color look you gave the whole layout, this is so beautiful.
