Vanilla Sugar Hanging Heart

The Vanilla Sugar challenge this month is Hanging Hearts - perfect for home decor or as a gift.
I made my hanging heart with two pipecleaners joined together and bent into shape (how appropriate lol!) The shell buttons came from a bag a friend had got which got wet and all the colour ran into the buttons so they have a slight turquoise tint and only one hole in each button. I finished it with a bit of ribbon and some Kars jewels to pick up the turquoise tones.

  1. Oooh, really pretty! Those buttons look lovely - I wonder what they were meant for with only one hole? I guess you could attach them by threading through a small bead before going back down through the hole but seems a bit odd to design them that way!
