Another scary moment, suspended in mid-air.
Unfortunately, despite all the poking and prodding, the chimney is still blocked, so we will have to try something else.
This side of the house hasn't been painted for a long time, due to the difficulty in reaching it, you can see that there is a lean-to attached to the wall, so to get the most value out of the hire, DH painted the wall. He was still up there in the dark at 4.30pm, I had to go out and put all the yard lights on, of course, they didn't shine in the right place! When he brought the arm of the cherry-picker down I had to go out with a torch to help him guide it onto it's rest. Anyway at least that job is completed.
Goodness me Janice. Not a job for the faint hearted.
ReplyDeleteVery dare devil, but the mention of cherry pickers now only makes me think of that University Challenge moment!
ReplyDeleteYou should scrap those! Did you go out this morning and point to all the bits he'd missed? ;o) Sorry the chimney's still blocked, hope you get sorted soon!
ReplyDeleteDuh....so thats what a cherry picker is hahahahaha!!! Shame about your chimney but great you got your wall painted X
ReplyDeleteBrian is braver than I am Janice! You'd never get me up there - daylight OR moonlight!

Great shots Janice - wow he is brave!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had fun, then Janice!
ReplyDeleteNo pics of you suspended in mid air though?
Poor Brian, getting stuck - well done to him for taking the opportunity to paint - what a brave man!
