By reusing supplies from previous weeks
as well as “reusing” artwork, recycled
journal pages build depth and visual
interest that completely change the
original look and feel. Use “re-usables”
from around the house and add some
drama to your pages with things you’d
normally throw away. So grab that pile
of junk mail, tear off a piece of bubble
wrap, keep the lid from the milk jug,
and reuse them in your journal art.

It's not easy to see what I've done since last time, but I used quite a bit of Dylusions white paint round the girlies to lift the image. and stamped with bubble wrap, bottle tops and a shell. A bit more oil pastel highlighting on the painted images once they were dry and it was done. Not sure what happens next week, I don't want to overwork it and that's what it is starting to feel like.
You're really into this now, aren't you, Janice - lovely that you're trying all sorts of things - love stamping with bubble wrap - haven't tried with bottle tops (might give that a try - but I'm not really into art journaling - perhaps one day!) x
ReplyDeleteThis is looking fantastic Janice! I've just scrolled back to see it in its earlier incarnations and the white definitely does make a big difference - be interesting to see where it goes next!
ReplyDeleteLooking good Janice! Stamping with bubble wrap is one of my fave things to do in my art journal :)

Hello sweet friend ~ a little behind on commenting but want you to know I enjoy reading each of your posts! I get happy inspiration stopping by! :)
ReplyDeleteLooks great Janice. I'm just thinking what sort of mess I could create if I were to be let loose with all this stuff you're using. Great to see other people making fab stuff though!
