Live life in colour

Yes, you are right!  I have gone digi-scrapping crazy, probably because I CAN get to the computer but I CAN'T get near my craft desk.  We are still in the process of decorating our den and all the furniture is piled up at the craft desk end of the room.
Back to the photograph and layout...there are some photos that draw you to scrap them again and again, and this is one of them.  I have always been fascinated by my parent's wedding photo and the multicoloured dresses of the bridesmaids and flowergirls, it is unusual now and probably even more unusual in the 1950s.

Snickerdoodle Designs Tutorial

I've been doing a little bit of testing for Karen Schultz of Snickerdoodle Designs.  Karen has produced a great tutorial for loading Layer Styles to Photoshop Elements, available in the Digital Design Den Newsletter this week, and before posting it she asked for some volunteers to try it out.

I've looked at layer styles, I've even downloaded them, but when I got near the settings in PSE I always backed out.  This tutorial is super easy and there is a version for every operating system and many versions of PSE.

Karen also has a freebie of some styles so you can try out the tutorial,  why not pop over to her blog and have a look?

Here is a tag I made using Karen's Outside my Window Styles:

Are you fed up of the wedding photos yet?

Another wedding layout using the Back to Basics Kit from DSD by Athena available at the Digital Design Den.  The photograph has been converted to a pencil sketch using instructions from the, sadly now defunct, Digital Scrapbooking Magazine.

Whispers

The Theme for the Soartful Challenge this week is 'Whisper'.  I used this lovely kit called Lavender Time by Ninie Designs to create my layout.

More Magic!

Another digital layout using 'Remember the Magic' the kit from DSD Athena, there are some really great elements to show off your photos of visits to the Disney parks.

Remember the Magic!

There's a new kit out by DSD by Athena called 'Remember the Magic' it's perfect for scrapping Disney photographs, but when I saw the colours in the kit I immediately thought about using this photograph of my boys when they were dressed up as Penguins with a giant chocolate Penguin biscuit which I made from a cardboard box!

Sketch is Pencil Lines 193

The Field Daisy

I think I mentioned that I have been getting back into digital scrapbooking and joined the Digital Design Den.  I've also become  A DSD Darling, one of the DT for Digital Scrapbook Designs by Athena Gray.

This layout features the Funky Expressions Kit, the photograph was taken at Loch Rannoch where there were all these beautiful wild daisies.  The poem is called The Field Daisy by Ann Taylor.
