Reflection - 365+1

I am rather pleased with this layout which is a combination of two photographs and some Photoshop filters.

These are the two photographs, it was very wet until about 2pm, but by 3pm the sun had come out and it was very pleasant outside.  I even managed to pick quite a lot of blackberries.

Haphazard-Bridge-Stripes 365+1

Maya de Groot and some vintage images

I looked around for something haphazard and the mess of newspapers and books on the dining room table seemed to fit the bill!  I layered up digital papers and vintage images to create the same effect, then added a couple of 'tea' stains just for fun.

Inspiration Lane August 2010 Collab, Sketch: Lousette Ashton, Scrap 365 August 2012
As I'm on catch up, I raided my photos to find a bridge.  Behind me is the famous Ponte Vecchio in Florence,  I can't believe it was 2009 and that we were there, it doesn't seem that long ago.

Frame and flower - DSD by Athena
This was an easy one for me.  I painted these stripes below the dado in my kitchen, hours of painstaking work with masking tape but I really like them.  I made a digital paper to match the stripes, something like that is really easy when you know how.

Vivid and Muted - 365+1

It seems I am more often on catch up now than on time with my 365+1 posts.  Here is the sunflower again for vivid.

Here is one I don't think you have seen before.  This is a stylised portrait of my gran, painted by my mum from a photogrpah.  The colours are beautifully muted.

On your desk - 365+1

Laura Boetto - Raspberry Streudel
My craft desk was actually quite tidy for a change.  I'd had to tidy it up to make a card recently, the evidence is the roll of double sided tape and the little address book full of crafty friends.  Eagle eyed readers will also see the extending arm of my guillotine on the right and on the left the corner of 'The Little Book of Treats' a baking book for Macmillan Cancer Support, available at Marks and Spencer Cafes.

Random - 365+1

Sugarplum Paperie
Today the prompt is 'Random'.  I was passing the spare room or 'music room' where my husband practices his saxophone and also sometimes plays his guitar.  The second guitar belonged to my great-uncle and is a steel strung jazz guitar.

Fruit - 365+1

A little seasonal fruit, it 's been hard to forage for fruit this year as we rarely have two dry days together.  I haven't managed to pick any blackberries yet, these are the few that were ripe.

365+1 - Catch up

Ground Level - no apologies for using this photograph again, it's one of my favourites.

Bug - another old photo, but it came to mind immediately when I saw the prompt.

Negative Space - lots of space between the threads of this spider web.

Not a particularly good photograph, but back lit by the setting sun.

I've been away for work and so now having to catch up. Hope to get round the blogs soon.

Leaves - 365+1

The leaves have been falling from the trees for some time what with the winds and the terrible weather we have been having in Scotland.  I took this photograph on the 4th August and the road was already covered.

Tree - 365+1

Le Bal de Sorcieres - PtiteSouris Design
I didn't do the first tree prompts, but I took this photograph last weekend when I woke early and foudn that my husband had been out even earlier clearing up branches and setting a bonfire.  The sun was just rising over the top of our field and created some great silhouettes with the old ruined house, the tree and the plants.  This digital kit was perfect to set it off, especially the paper with the streaming light.

Fall - 365+1

Sherwood Studio - Thrift
We had some late afternoon sun and I nipped up the road when I got home from work to see if there were any blackberries to photograph.  There were, but they seem to be very late to ripen this year with the terrible weather we have had.  Last night, we had gale force winds and torrential rain, hard to believe when you see the sun shining on this thistle head which has already spread it's fluffy seed heads.

Nails - 365+1

Maya de Groot - Snap!
This was the manicure that went with the pedicure featured for 'Feet'!

Hair and Arms - no not hairy arms!

Rather an uninspired Hair layout, just a couple of products and my hairbrushes. I should put the red one away as my hair is now so short that I don't need it, but who knows when the notion will take me to grow it a bit longer again!

My husband has started going to the gym and has regained the biceps he had when I first met him, so I thought we should show them off.

Legs - 365+1

It's that time of year when the great big spiders decide to come inside, they have huge legs and my husband is really scared of them, he took the picture of this one 'from a distance'.  I'm  not too keen on them myself but less scared than he is.

Feet - 365+1

Inspiration Lane - Collab

This is only one photo which I have duplicated and flipped to make two feet and I'm sharing it with you because I had just had a pedicure, so my feet were looking at their best!

Eyes - 365+1

COPPERCURLS DESIGNS - BOTANICA
I love peacock feathers and the 'eyes' that the feathers form.  This one was keen to display to us, often they seem to just want to show you their back, so it was lovely to see the full display.

Twisted, Something you wear, colour, hands - 365+1

It's been a busy week so I'm on catch up again.  I went to a chocolate class recently and decorated a chocolate shoe. We made the little fans which involved folding and twisting the chocolate.

and here is the shoe for the 'Something to Wear' prompt, not that you would wear this but it is a shoe. I thought it was fun to use the same kits to make these two 'chocolate' layouts.

It's the time of year when my Montbretia is in flower, it has a lovely deep orange colour.

Not a recent photograph, but one I just love.  My grandson's tiny hand grips his grandfather's finger.

Outside - 365+1

Heather T - Me Time
I've had this Beauty Bush for many years and it has never really done very well, I think it must not have had enough water where it is planted, too close to the hedge.  When I went around yesterday looking for photographs for my catch up yesterday I noticed it was flowering, it's such a pretty little flower so I'm pleased to be able to show it to you.

You can see my catch- up layouts on yesterday's post HERE.

Thriving-Basket-Through a window-Ribbon - 356+1

A bit of a catch up after a busy week and a day out at a Food Bloggers Conference yesterday. Above you can see an ornamental grass which is thriving so well, it is taking over part of my garden!

Through a window show the view from what used to be the coal shed, out into the hay shed where we now 'park' the tractors!  Over on the right you can see the big hand drill which my FIL got from the local blacksmiths when it closed.  He used to help out there when he was at school.  We do occasionally use it.

It was a lovely day today and I was sitting outside on the patio.  This planter is ceramic but looks like a basket.
