Now that the birthday is past, I thought I'd show you the card I made for Andrew. I had all kinds of ideas about what I would do, bought a new Stampotique stamp and then never used it!
In the end I decided to do a bit of Photoshopping on a photo of Andrew to make an Andy Warhol type image. The chippie piece is by Tando Creative at Bubbly Funk Shoppie painted with gesso then coloured with Sakura pens to match the images. I added a little key that I got in my Secret Santa swap from the lovely Di Oliver.

Happy Birthday Andrew
It seems appropriate for this week's Friday Photo Flashback that I should feature my DS2, Andrew, as it is his 21st Birthday today. This photograph is from his 9th Birthday and you can see by his big grin, just how much he was enjoying his birthday tea of crisps, sweets, chocolate fingers and the 'Gameboy' birthday cake which I made for him.
If you click on the FPF logo above you will be able to link to some other blasts from the past!

The Simple Woman's Day Book
Outside my window... hard frost and a few flurries of snow
I am thinking...about all the work that is going on inside and outside our house
I am thankful for...my DS2 getting promotion that means he doesn't need to work nights anymore.
From the kitchen...Chicken Pot Pie
I am wearing...my favourite old sweater, it should really go out, I got in Matalan 3 years ago for £4 and I love it.
I am creating...Scrapbook pages from DS2's 21st Birthday album
I am reading...Family of Women by Annie Murray
I am hoping...that the joiner will be starting on my new kitchen this week.
I am hearing...Wild at Heart on the television
Around the house...bits of kitchen everywhere
One of my favorite things...a long lie on a Sunday morning.
A few plans for the rest of the week... Must make more scrapbook pages!
Here is picture for thought I am sharing... scaffolding for the rebuilding of the chimney went up on Saturday.

25th Club
Sorry to keep showing you Christmas cards, it's our 25th Club on BubblyFunk Forum. This month the theme is 'animals' so, as I did the reindeer ;) in my first card I thought I'd go for some different animals. There is a bit of sparkly Sakura pen on there too, but it's not showing up very well.

Doubly Artful!
It was only when I looked at this week's Soartful challenge that I realised I had forgotten to post for last week, I'd made the image, just forgot to blog it! So the image above is for the 'Out of this World' challenge from last week and the one below is for 'Life is a bowl of cherries'.

Static Caravan part two
Here are the photographs I took last Sunday when we finally got the caravan into the field.
You can just about see the view they will have from the side windows, it was a bit misty so it's not that clear.
There is lots of space in the living room. The drawers and out and the tables upside down because it was being moved.
Here is the other side with the gas fire and more seating.

one of two twin bedrooms, although I think they are planning to remove the beds in at least one of these to provide more storage.
The whole thing has to be levelled and the utilities connected but we are having a week off from it this week. There has been other activity going on today but I'll do a post about that tomorrow.

Vanilla Sugar Hanging Heart
The Vanilla Sugar challenge this month is Hanging Hearts - perfect for home decor or as a gift.
I made my hanging heart with two pipecleaners joined together and bent into shape (how appropriate lol!) The shell buttons came from a bag a friend had got which got wet and all the colour ran into the buttons so they have a slight turquoise tint and only one hole in each button. I finished it with a bit of ribbon and some Kars jewels to pick up the turquoise tones.

Stuck Static
My DS1 and his fiance have to leave the house they are renting fairly soon and have decided that while they save to buy or build their own place, they will live in a static caravan/mobile home/trailer in our field! So they went ahead and bought this 12ft wide home and had it delivered last Tuesday, only to find that although it got down the road, it couldn't get into the yard because of the buildings and the angles.
There have been various alterations going on all week, but today was the big day, we needed our road back again if nothing else!
This is a bit like the bit in Winnie the Pooh where Rabbit goes out of his burrow to see Pooh sticking out the other end (having eaten too much hunny and got stuck), so yes that is what it looked like at the other end. Just as well we have two roads into our farm!
And finally, UNSTUCK! I took this from the window, it gives you a good idea of the size of this thing.
This is as far as we have got it, there was a lot of man handling as well as tractor pulling to get it to this position, but there is a bit of a dip into the field so we need to fill that with gravel before it can be sited in final position. I have to say that is pretty fab inside, lots of room in the living room and a biggish kitchen diner. The bedrooms are not so big, but they may knock two into one as the walls can be taken out.

Mad March Hare in February!
It's been a while since I took part in the Something Completely Different challenges, but I couldn't resist this one. I've never really got into ATCs but as that is the format for this challenge that's what I have created. I particularly like the original Tenniel drawings for Alice in Wonderland, so it had to feature one of those.
Here is what the SCD team said about their challenge:
Most people love them, that is until they hear about my challenge subject this week......

Time Flies
You have seen both of these photographs recently on my blog, but I liked them so much I decided to make a scrapbook page and to incorporate a piece of Tando Creative chipboard for the competition on the Tando Blog.

The Simple Woman's Day book - longing for spring
FOR TODAY...
Outside my window...cold and frosty
I am thinking...how many things need done and how difficult it seems to be to get them done!
I am thankful for... my husband who helps to make all those things happen
I am wearing...my pink slipper boots
I am remembering...the 1990s courtesy of Delia Smith on TV
I am going... to be travelling a lot this week
I am currently reading...a sewing book I got for Christmas
I am hoping... to get my 'new to me' car tomorrow
On my mind... my DS2's 21st Scrapbook, have to get on with it!
Noticing that...my feet are cold, even in my pink slipper boots
From the kitchen...fish pie
Around the house... I love my electric blanket
One of my favorite things~ at the moment I am craving a warm sunny day
From my picture journal...a little bit of spring, warmer days coming soon.
