Please have your day’s work include the theme or concept of the word “Fluid”

Inspiration Mosaic

 Yesterday at Creativity Boot Camp we were tasked to do the following:

"So today, I’d like you to go out into nature {or on the streets if you’re a city dweller} and seek inspiration. I’m not asking you to gather ideas for creative projects, I want you to simply take a camera outdoors and photograph things that speak to you on some level…any level. Take as many pictures as you’d like. If you’re like me, you might have to eventually make yourself stop and go back inside to take care of other things like your children or dinner. Try not to aim for perfect shots; don’t think about composition, don’t sweat the focus or the lighting, etc. Just take some random snapshots of anything that you find visually appealing and at this point don’t analyze why…just shoot."

I got home too late last night and was too tired to do this, but had a little time tonight and it was also a nice sunny evening,  so I went out with my camera and took a few pictures of the place I live and the things that inspire me.  Mainly plants and nature, but also textures and little framed scenes.  

The central picture has been altered using the palette knife filter to make a 'painterly' scene, so I thought I'd let you see that one separately.

Creativity Boot Camp Prompt 5

Grow

This picture really came out of yesterday's journal prompt 'What inspires you'.  I went out into the yard and down our road to see what inspired me, although I probably knew already.  Nature is my biggest inspiration, I love the flowers, the trees, grasses and especially the hedgerow plants or 'weeds' by another name!  These Icelandic poppies have become a bit of a weed, self-seeding around the yard, but tonight the sun just hit them in the right place and they looked so pretty.  

I'm going to make a mosaic of all the pictures I took tonight on my inspiration quest and will post as soon as I can.

Creative Boot Camp Day 4

Prompt for today is 'Heavy Metal'. I've gone completely literal on this one to show you the old two stroke engine we had on our farm being lifted using the tractor spike to load it onto the trailer of the two guys who are going to restore it.  I took this one last week, I've pretty much run out of time today.

Here is my entry for Something Completely Different, here are the details of the new challenge:

 

With a new month comes a new challenge. This month we will be playing with Skinnis. Yes I had to ask what Skinnis were too! Well they are 3 x 5 inches. New one on me.

This week the theme is House or Houses.

 

 

The stamp is a freebie from Craft Stamper and I went with a sort of Clarice Cliff colouring theme.
