Harvest

I took this photograph last week when I was visiting my Mum on the east coast of Scotland.  It was a glorious day and the wheat looks like it is ready to harvest.  The digi kit is Cafe Vienna from Inspiration Lane.

Coffee & Walnut Cake

Here is an LO I did of Brian's birthday cake.  I used the Neutrality Kit from DSD by Athena which matched the colour of the cake perfectly!

Happy Birthday Brian

As I am still without access to most of my paper stash, I made my DH, Brian, a digital bday card.  I did print it out and stick it to a card though lol!  This photo was taken on holiday at the Black Spout Waterfall near Pitlochry, I thought that the 'bark' paper and elements  of Snickerdoodle Designs Kit - Outside my Window, complemented the photo well.

Bertie

Our new sofa arrived on Thursday and I'm really pleased with it.  The photo is rubbish as we haven't finished decorating and don't have any curtains or blinds up yet, so there was  a lot of light from the window and it reflects off the dark brown leather.
Okay, I realise you are wondering why this post is entitled 'Bertie', well the name the company gave to this corner suite is 'Burlington' and there is an old Music Hall song called 'Burlington Bertie'.  I did a quick search and found the lyrics and more info about the song HERE, I didn't realise it was such a long song, they must have only sung exerpts from it on 'The Good Old Days' TV show that was on in the 1970s.

Here is a little bit of the song:
I'm Burlington Bertie I rise at ten thirty
and saunter along like a toff
I walk down the Strand with my gloves on my hand
Then I walk down again with them off
I'm all airs and graces, correct easy paces
Without food so long, I've forgot where my face is
I'm Bert, Bert, I haven't a shirt
But my people are well off you know.
Nearly everyone knows me from Smith to Lord Rosebr'y,
I'm Burlington Bertie from Bow.
So there you go, our sofa is now called Bertie - hee hee!

Going Wild!

I'm still in digital crafting mode, due to the on-going decorating in my house.  Today I had a day off work and took a walk up our lane, I couldn't believe how many butterflies there were on the wild flowers.  I decided to scrap them using the Sketch from the Digital Design Den Sketch Challenge.  The Sketch was created by Laura Boetto of Maggie May Designs.  The kit I used is Outside my Window by Snickerdoodle Designs and the Alpha is from the Neutrality Kit from DSD by Athena.

I'll post up the photographs tomorrow to let you see in more detail.
